Bombs hit anti-govt protest sites, wound 51
BANGKOK, Nov 30 (TNA) - Two explosions wounded over 50 people at two separate anti-government protest sites, Government House and Don Mueang Airport, early Sunday morning in an escalation of the political crisis.

The first grenade attack occurred around midnight at Government House, where thousands of People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) protesters have encamped for than three months.

About 50 persons were wounded, with three of the injured in critical condition. A rifle grenade was shot onto the site, falling 20 metres from the stage, and blowing a hole in the canvas canopy.The grenade attack was confirmed as the fourth occurring at Government House.

Meanwhile, another predawn bomb attack occurred roadside at the entrance of Don Mueang Airport, wounding two people.

The sound of an explosion and gunfire was also heard at the anti-government satellite television channel ASTV on Phra Atit Road after the grenade attack at Government House. However, no one was reported wounded.

According to PAD guards there, a speed boat stopped behind the television office and the sound of bombs and as many as a hundred gunshots were heard. PAD and ASTV have not allowed the police or the media to inspect the scene. (TNA)
